This is a wheel thrown Owl Design Pet Drinking Fountain and is approximately 5″ high and 11″ wide. The bowl holds 12 cups of water and your pet will love drinking from the either the top of the Owl or from the bowl. You can find a short video of this Fountain in action on YouTube: https://youtu.be/Pyt0H4Gvlhs The water pump is hidden inside the center piece (called a “pump hide”) and the water flows silently over the ball and into the bowl. The pump is adjustable so that you can have any flow you desire and the water flows into the bowl extremely quietly. There is a handmade “leaf” which attaches over the lower bowl that you can use to hide the power lead to the pump (see main picture). This makes it extremely easy to clean! It also makes it very easy to replace your pump in the future if you should need to. After much thought and experimenting I believe that the leaf cover is the best option for covering the pump cord and long term care of your fountain as over time fountains which have a hole through the bowl can sometimes leak making them unusable. I only use food grade silicone tubing to route the water from the pump to the top of the fountain (there are no metal or copper components). There is a filter bag included that contains pelleted activated carbon that acts as a water filter hidden inside the pump hide. The carbon will last for 6 to 12 months, and I will include some extra carbon for you! Full care and cleaning instructions are included (maintenance is VERY easy!). If the pump should fail within a year, I will gladly send you a replacement pump free of charge (with regular cleaning, the pump should last for years). Dishwasher safe (although hand washing is preferable). All of the glazes which I use are lead free and food safe and totally safe for your furry family.
